MENTERI BESAR SELANGOR INCORPORATED LAUNCHES DARUL EHSAN INVESTMENT GROUP & AGENDA MAKMUR SELANGOR

Yang Amat Berhormat Tuan Mohamed Azmin Bin Haji Ali, Chief Minister of Selangor launched the Agenda Makmur Selangor (“Agenda”) and Darul Ehsan Investment Group (“DEIG”). The Agenda Makmur Selangor supports the Darul Ehsan Investment Group’s key focus areas on housing, education, infrastructure, environment and healthcare. DEIG is expected to provide returns on investments made in State-GLCs measured by return on equity (“ROE”) and return on invested capital (“ROIC”), it is also expected to invest in and develop business that supports the Selangor government’s agenda of providing social and distributive justice. The investment policy and strategy aims to strengthen the middle class, provide high income, improve the quality of live and create more meaningful jobs. With the Agenda Makmur Selangor, the State Goverment aims to generate income from its holdings of State-GLCs, and reduce state income dependancy on taxes and Federal funding. These objectives are in line with the State Government’s long term goal of enriching the lives of Selangor residents, provide social & distributive justice and to build Selangor into the state of choice in the region.
