GEORGE KENT CLINCHES RM45.5 MILLION CONTRACT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT IN KWASA DAMANSARA TOWNSHIP

George Kent (Malaysia) Berhad (“George Kent” or “the Group”) has secured a RM45.5 million contract from Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd for key infrastructure works at Kwasa Damansara Township, Selangor. The project, starting on 9 January 2025, is set for completion by 8 July 2027.
Tan Sri Dato’ Tan Kay Hock, Executive Chairman, remarked: “We are proud to support the growth of Kwasa Damansara with our proven expertise.”
This marks George Kent’s second project win this month, highlighting its strong pipeline and commitment to Malaysia’s development.
KIP REIT COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF D’PULZE SHOPPING CENTRE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

KIP REIT has completed its largest acquisition, D’Pulze Shopping Centre in Cyberjaya, for RM320 million. The fully occupied retail asset adds 311,499 square feet to KIP REIT’s portfolio, boosting total lettable space to over 2.4 million square feet.
With a 7.1% yield, D’Pulze marks a key milestone in KIP REIT’s growth, expanding its portfolio to 13 properties and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable, long-term returns for unitholders.
OCK EXPANDS RENEWABLE ENERGY SEGMENT THROUGH STRATEGIC INVESTMENT IN 116MW SOLAR PLANT

OCK Group Berhad (“OCK”), Malaysia’s largest telecommunications network solutions provider, announced a strategic investment in a 116MW solar photovoltaic plant in Sungai Petani, Kedah. The project, secured under the large-scale solar programme, will enhance OCK’s renewable energy portfolio and provide long-term recurring revenue through a 21-year power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
SKYWORLD DEVELOPMENT SIGNS AGREEMENT TO JOINTLY DEVELOP NATION’S LARGEST AFFORDABLE HOUSING

SkyWorld Development Berhad has entered into strategic agreements with Penang Development Corporation and PDC Properties to jointly develop over 35,000 affordable housing units in Penang, with a GDV of RM13 billion. The project will span 195.54 acres in Batu Kawan and Seberang Jaya, offering homes priced between RM225,000 and RM420,000 under Rumah Mampu Milik and Rumah Bakat Baru MADANI schemes.
SUNVIEW SECURES RM196.1 MILLION WORTH OF CONTRACTS

Sunview Group Berhad (“Sunview”) announced its subsidiary, Fabulous Sunview Sdn. Bhd., has secured two contracts worth RM196.1 million for the construction of two 29.99MWac solar plants in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Binastra Corporation Berhad (“Binastra”) has secured a RM327.7 million contract through its subsidiary, Binastra Builders Sdn. Bhd., surpassing its RM3.0 billion FY2025 target with RM3.1 billion in contracts secured year-to-date.

GEORGE KENT SECURES FIRST CONTRACT IN SARAWAK WORTH RM26.7 MILLION

George Kent (Malaysia) Berhad has secured its first Sarawak project, a RM26.7 million contract for the Sarawak Water Supply Grid Program. The project, awarded by JBALB Sarawak, aims to enhance water infrastructure along Bakun Road, benefiting local communities. The scope includes the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, with completion expected by June 2026. This milestone expands George Kent’s footprint in Malaysia and strengthens its role in regional infrastructure development.
